For her upcoming project “World”, Harrison the Artist has had the opportunity to record with the talented Yuta Yoneyama [米山雄大] and Takuro Korenaga [伊永拓郎] at Sony Studios, Tokyo.

Harrison the Artist recorded a song she wrote called Syria, a song about the devastation of war. The eerie song includes the sounds of camel bells from Aleppo before it was bombed, as well as the sounds of gunshots and bullets firing. Whilst visiting Tokyo, she recorded and collected samples for her “World” project: a project that involves recording instruments and sounds specific to certain regions around the world in attempt to capture and send a message of love, connectedness and diversity.

“Recording at Sony Studios, Tokyo, has been one of my favourite experiences in my career to date” Harrison said.
